KidsHope: Promoting Healthy Lifestyles Inc. is a non-profit, incorporated organization, established in 1991 to develop and present educational / prevention programs and resources to children ages 3-12. Our mandate is to promote positive attitudes and healthy lifeskills (and lifestyles) to young children in the elementary schools (JK/SK to Grade 6) in Sault Ste. Marie and the surrounding areas.
RESOURCES:
Just In Case Cards (Grades 1-6)
A small card/booklet is given to children ( ages 6 to 10 ) for them to have emergency and important phone numbers in their possession. These personalized cards are distributed during our program lesson-presentations, at community displays and are available at the KidsHope office.
My Identification Cards (Parent)
This card ( available at the KidsHope office ) is to be used as an up-to-date record of information about each child in a family ( ages 16 and under ) for emergencies and other situations for parents, caregivers, babysitters, etc.
Kids Connection Cards (Parent)
This card lists telephone numbers of local community programs and services of agencies, organizations and individuals ( for parents, care-givers and service-providers of children ) and is distributed to all families in the elementary school system and throughout the community. The purpose of this informative card is to connect children/parents to community activities & services. ( Also available at the KidsHope office ).
